01 - The first contact

The First Steps

When you first get in touch, we'll gather a few details so we can pair you with one of our local designers. More often than not, it'll be Sherelle or Jarrod who takes your call, because we think it's only right to speak properly with everyone who comes to us, answer any question however small, and introduce ourselves from the very first hello. Within 24 to 48 hours, your nearest designer will arrange a meeting at a time that suits you.

There's no pressure, just a relaxed chance to look through samples and recent projects, including modern wooden staircases and classic metal designs, while we take measurements of your staircase or the space for your furniture. We'll then follow up with a quote by email, so there are no awkward hard-sell moments, unless you'd rather have your quote there and then.

02 - THE BEST PRICE

The Best Price, From the Start

We always offer our best price on every project from the outset, which is why we don't run special discounts. That quote then stands for 30 days, because we believe in giving you the best price from the very beginning. As far as we're concerned, if a price can drop after it's been quoted, it was never the best price in the first place. We put the profit we make straight back into the business, into our people, their craftsmanship and the quality of the materials we use. Once you're happy to move forward and the deposit is paid, the work can begin. About a week after you confirm, we'll finalise the contract and samples and book a surveyor to make a detailed checklist of everything involved.

During that visit, they'll go through every aspect of your staircase to make sure you're happy with each detail, and offer you a choice of installation dates. Our administration team will then send written confirmation with your installation date.

03 - final sign off

From Workshop to Your Home

While all this is happening, our joiners are busy preparing your woodwork, and our in-house french polishers hand finish your bespoke staircase or furniture with four coats of lacquer, so the only upkeep it will ever need is a wipe with a damp cloth. Every project, from classic wooden staircases to bespoke furniture, goes through one final quality check before it leaves the workshop, and a week before installation our workshop manager will call to confirm timings and parking. Shortly before, or on the day itself, our joiners will also be in touch about arrival times.

Installation usually takes one to two days. Our fitting teams are meticulous with every project, including floating staircases, and they'll ask you to look over the work carefully to make sure you're happy with every detail. After a final polish and clean up, the balance is settled and your 10 year guarantee is issued from the office. All that's left to do is show your neighbours.
